The Catalpa Sailed Away

This song tells the story of the Catalpa Rescue through the eyes of the imprisoned Fenians and the crew who came to save them aboard the Catalpa. Blending Irish pride, hope, and rebellion, the song follows the dramatic escape from Fremantle Prison, the race to the sea, and the standoff with British authorities as Captain George Smith Anthony refuses to surrender the rescued men. It celebrates courage, loyalty, and the unbreakable belief in freedom and home.

Harbor Men of New Bedford

This song pays tribute to the hardworking harbor men of New Bedford whose labor kept the whaling industry alive from the docks rather than the open sea. While captains and sailors earned the glory, these workers repaired ships, loaded cargo, maintained the waterfront, and carried the emotional weight of a town built around dangerous voyages. The song honors the forgotten backbone of the harbor — the men whose hands, sacrifice, and steady work helped every ship leave port and find its way home. This video features the real Harbor Men of New Bedford during the Catalpa years.

Raise the Mast - Hold the Line

“Raise the Mast, Hold the Line” is a fast-paced anthem about the Catalpa Rescue, telling the story of the secret mission to free six Fenian prisoners from Australia aboard the Catalpa. Through powerful chants, rapid-fire historical references, and dramatic moments at sea, the song honors the bravery of Captain George Smith Anthony, the rescuers, and the people of New Bedford who risked everything to stand against an empire and carry freedom home.

They Kept the Harbor Light Burning

This song honors the women and families of New Bedford who stayed behind while sailors and whalemen crossed dangerous oceans for months or years at a time. Through quiet sacrifice, strength, and endless waiting, they kept homes, families, and hope alive along the harbor. “They Kept the Harbor Light” is a tribute to the unseen courage behind every voyage — the people on shore who carried the weight of uncertainty while keeping the harbor, and each other, going. This video features actual women of New Bedford during the Catalpa years.
